Wall Bounce Calculator
Speaker Boundary Interference Response or SBIR occurs when a speaker is placed near a solid boundary. A sonic reflection occurs. It is as if the walls were mirrors causing an image of the speaker to appear behind each one. These images are sonically quite real performing as extra sound sources. The combination doesn’t add up cleanly, but does so in quite a complex manner. Thomas Barefoot, who makes wonderful speakers wrote an Excel calculator which predicts this interaction and displays it in a wonderful graphic manner. You can download it HERE
